The Amnesiac to my Kid A; the Twilight to Starlight to my Dawn to Dusk, The Wall lp2 to my, uh, The Wall lp1. My first double ‘album’ is now complete, fulfilling a childhood dream. But come to think of it, it’s hard to say whether it’s more of a Mellon Collie double lp, or 2 separate records like Kid A/Amnesiac. Although the loose day/night concept of Mellon Collie is secretly present throughout, it’s probably more like Kid A/Amnesiac, 2 records cut from the same sessions. Volume 2 has a different vibe, and actually it was closer to completion before Volume 1. On some levels it’s more depressing than vol 1, but there’s also a glimmer of hope in there, and some indications as to where the next book will go.
